To commemorate the Easter holidays, last Thursday we hosted a Hat Competition for members of our staff. There were 9 entries and incredible competition but in the end, Gregory Mettelholzer from the Operations Department walked away with the first prize for his creative entry, which he described as representing the bright future and safety culture at GYSBI.
Waynace Forde from the QHSSE Department copped the second prize for her sustainable piece made from egg trays while Marcelious Hector also from the Operations Department took home the third prize for his creation. According to him, the cups represent a new employee at GYSBI, who comes without the necessary expertise and experience but is then trained and given the necessary tools to be successful. The helmet represents a key element of safety.
